The event we have all been waiting for is now scheduled for this Wednesday, Sept. 12th. The rumors are running wild and it is very easy to conclude that the iPhone 5 will be revealed. The iPad Mini is also rumored, but in our eyes is less likely to show up.

It will be interesting to see if the insider rumors of a 4” iPhone 5 with LTE and new connector are true. I will say that this year there seems to be much more “leaked” evidence supporting the features the rumors have been outlining. It also seems like many of the rumors are quite similar, something we have not always seen with past iPhone launches.

As the rumors continue to heat up around the Apple iPhone 5, Tech Islands is excited to see if this year is the year for the iPhone 5. Last year quite a few of us were disappointed when Apple only came out with the iPhone 4S when most were expecting a large leap forward. Rumors so far look like Apple will be playing catch-up and finally coming out with a 5 revision of the iPhone with a larger screen and the latest in high speed wireless radios.
