Pacific Design Action Pro Backpack The Pacific Design Action Pro Backpack is as its name suggests, a backpack. But this is no normal backpack, there are many accessory pockets, a special removable hard bottom, and even a special padded laptop compartment. There also are special smaller compartments in the front pocket of the backpack. I will start from the front describing the different pockets and spaces. On the very front is a small open pocket with nylon bungee type cord on either side. Next there is a pocket you can access from either side via zippers that has pockets for pens and pencils. Above that under the logo, there is a flap that hides a window that you can put a business card in. Now we move back to the first main pocket. In the first pocket we find another business card slot, a bigger mesh pocket, pen holders(<-- all are on the flap that folds out) (all on the back area of the pocket -->) , a cell phone pouch and a pda pouch (both with velcro flaps that keep the PDA and cell phone secure), a small zipper pocket, and a nylon cord with clip to keep keys on. Then there is another main pocket. This pocket has nothing in it, it is just for books and files. Finally we come to the main compartment. The main compartment on the back has a padded pouch for your laptop with a strap to secure your laptop in it. Then on the front of the compartment there is a removable mesh bag (attached via velcro) that is curved to fit towards the top of the compartment. Below that is a non removable mesh pouch. Also on the bottom of this compartment is a hard board that can velcro into place to make it so the compartment stays open and has a hard bottom. This main compartment also can easily fit bigger books and files. Other features worth noting are:
After using this backpack for awhile, I really started to like it. With many pockets it is easy to stay organized. There also is a lot of space, but when you do not need it, the backpack condenses nicely. The quality is very good, and with a lifetime warranty there is no reason to fear the backpack wearing out. The backpack is comfortable to wear even with a heavy load with its padded straps. For electronic people, it has plenty of padded areas and even has the ability to work with Pacific Design's Nucleus Laptop bag (slim and made to slide in and out of this Action Pro Backpack) (Nucleus bag is also reviewed on our site!). Overall the Action Pro Backpack is a great bag for younger people who need to carry their electronics and other items with them. For people in college or high school I can see this as a great bag to have for daily use! I would like to note that there are not many pictures in this review as it was hard to get good pictures of this backpack as it is dark in color and the inside areas always showed up dark and un viewable in the pictures. Thanks to PacificDesign for the Review Sample! |
