eHolster PDA and Cell Phone Case Holster The eHolster case system is a very unique universal case setup. I decided to review a few different eHolster products all in this same review since they all work together. The first major portion of the eHolster setup is the PDA and Cell Phone Pouches. The PDA pouch is universal, but has a very good fit for both my X50v and X5. The inside is a soft nylon, and the outside on the version I received was a nice smooth black leather. In addition to the main slot for your PDA, there also is a rounded flap of the stretchable nylon on the sides that comes out to be a stylus/pen holder. The case is very heavy duty, and it seems very rugged and able to stand up to the elements. On the back there are two snaps, each snap secures two flaps of the leather in the center of the strip of leather. The leather strips (one at the top, one at the bottom) are used to secure to the D-Rings that hold the cases to the Holsters, the Belt Snaps, or to other cases (so you can link them together). The Cell Phone pouch is the same as the PDA pouch, just not as wide (when looking at it from the front). It still features the stylus/pen holder also.
Next is the main holster. The main holster goes over both your shoulders and holds the Cell Phone case on one side of your body, and the PDA case on the other (you are able to choose which side each goes on). The holster must be used with two cases (one on each side).
The holster crosses on your back and easily distributes the weight across your shoulders. The plastic rings (two on the front, two on the back) make it so you can adjust how low the cases on either side sit depending on your body. You also can hook more than once case together on each side, if you have more than two cases, thanks to the way the cases are totally modular. The inside of the shoulder portion of the straps are coated with a rubber grip surface that makes it so the holster does not slide around. There also are loops to put your headphone/headset wire through so that it stays under the strap and out of sight.
Now there is the e-Uro strap. This strap is made to go across your body from one shoulder, and have your cases on the other side.
The e-Uro case can be used with one or more cases and has the same features as the Holster as far as the strap goes (same grip coating, same headphone/headset loops). There also are two adjustment rings near where the strap connects to the cases so that you again can adjust the height that the cases sit at. Finally there are the Belt Snaps. The belt snaps really just go from the D-Rings on the cases to around your belt. Each has its own snap and works independently from the other. It makes it so the case really hangs off your belt.
The e-Uro is probably my favorite setup to use. It stays securely in place and makes it so you do not feel like you have a lot of straps going around your body. The holster I find very nice to use under a coat or suit coat. It makes it so that you can reach to either side under your coat and pull out your cell phone or PDA easily. The construction of all the pieces is perfect. Everything is heavy duty and made to stand the test of time. I love the way that all the pieces are interchangeable and modular. This makes it so you can hang multiple cases together, and also easily customize your setup to your needs and wants. I would say if you are looking for away to carry your PDA not necessarily on your belt or in your pocket, the eHolster line is a great range of products to look at! Thanks to eHolster for the Review Samples!
