Piel Frama Leather Ocurris Wallet X50/X50v Case

Price: 75? (Approx: 90 USD) Including Shipping

To start off I would like to say that I have always loved Piel Frama's Cases (as I also have the X5 case, X50v Cases, and other items from them) and this case is no exception to their great quality and craftsmanship.

I received the case in a standard UPS Express envelope and the case was in their standard box with the box well protected in bubble wrap. The presentation is amazing with a great box and protectors in each of the card slots of the case.

When I first took the case out I noticed the great quality of the leather, it is very soft yet durable leather and you can tell it is very high grade. The edges are all very nicely stitched and flawless. The zipper is also perfectly integrated into the case.

Unlike other fitted cases, this is a universal case that is made to be a sort of wallet that can hold your ID, credit cards, Dell Axim, and other small items. The Axim is separated from the rest of your items in its own separate zippered compartment. Your other items like credit cards, id cards, etc. are in a non zippered area that is held shut via the leather tab that you see on the front of the case.

The Axim compartment side is colored tan with a velcro pad in the shape of Piel Frama's logo in the middle of it. To keep your Axim securely in place, you put the sticky sided velcro onto your Axim (it stays quite secure with the adhesive on the back of the velcro pad) and then you can stick your Axim to the case. I really thought it was clever to put the velcro in the shape of their logo, plus it gave a neat look that was not cheap looking like a rectangle of velcro might be.

Like most Piel Frama cases, this case comes with a pretty good color assortment. Below are the available colors:

The fit of the Axim inside the case is quite good, there is a bit of extra room around the sides of the Axim, but it is kind of a neat area as you can place extras like memory cards, cables, etc. for storage in this extra area (although items are not secured down in this area and may fly out when you open the case to use your Axim). You would not be able to fit the Axim with extended battery in this case as the X50 alone is right at the max for thickness in the case.

This case does not have a belt clip at all. It is meant to be a wallet like case that you can put in either a purse (ladies), or carry in your pocket or briefcase (men).

On the side for your cards and such, there are the following slots:

  • 6 Standard Credit Card Slots
  • 2 Pull Out Photo Slots
  • 2 Credit Card Slots with Windows
  • 1 Large Pocket for Money and Bills at the top of the case

Overall I think if you have the money to buy a good case and you want an executive feel with great functionality and looks, the Piel Frama is for you. From using my X5 case I know the leather holds up very well and its is tough. The workmanship is great and nothing beats it.

Thanks to Piel Frama for the Review Product, I used pictures from Piel Frama's website because they were the clearest and easiest to see from all angles. They truly represent exactly what you get. If you would like to see how the case comes, look at the pictures in my X5 Piel Frama review here: CLICK HERE The packaging and boxing is the same as the X5 case's in the review.
