Piel Frama Leather Cartridge X50/X50v Case
Link: www.PielFrama.com
Price: 45? (Approx: 55 USD) Including Shipping

To start off I would like to say that I have always loved Piel Frama's Cases (as I also have the X5 case, X50v Cases, and other items from them) and this case is no exception to their great quality and craftsmanship.

I received the case in a standard UPS Express envelope and the case was in their standard box with the box well protected in bubble wrap. The presentation is amazing with a great box and protectors in each of the card slots of the case.

When I first took the case out I noticed the great quality of the leather, it is very soft yet durable leather and you can tell it is very high grade. The edges are all very nicely stitched and flawless.

One thing to note before I continue on this review is that this is a universal case. Piel Frama makes the Cartridge in different sizes (Small, Medium, Large) and then they have tested PDAs to see what case each PDA fits best in. The X50 Series goes with the Medium version (it will automatically go to medium if you select cartridge from the X50 Series Selector screen). Now, that being said, this case still fits the X50 Series very very well for being a universal case.

This cases leather is very nice, and almost seems a bit softer than the other cases I have used from Piel Frama.  One thing to note is that unlike many of Piel Frama's cases, this case only comes in black.

The case has a flip over flap that covers the opening at the top of the case and then neatly folds behind for when you are taking your PDA in and out of the case. The flap simply snaps closed with a snap hidden under the flap on the front of the case. The snap is nice and easy to close and it is not like some snaps that are hard to snap shut or open. It is strong enough to hold the case shut securely, but soft enough to allow easy opening and closing.

This case features a very different belt clip system. The belt clip is a stationary type, but can swivel. It can be removed from the case though, as it is Velcroed to the case. When you remove the clip you will find that there are slots to run a belt through, so this case features two types of attachment for carrying.

I really thought that this case was a unique and neat way to carry your X50 series. It is a very big upgrade in my mind from the standard Dell Pouch case, and in usage is very nice to use if you like to use your X50 "bare" without a case on it, but still want to have a professional looking way to carry it around and protect it when not in use.

Another great part of this case is its price, at 45 Euros, it is much more affordable than many of the Piel Frama cases and that makes it so anyone can have the great quality of Piel Frama for their X50 Series!

Overall I think if you have the money to buy a good case and you want an executive feel with great functionality and looks, the Piel Frama is for you. From using my X5 case I know the leather holds up very well and its is tough. The workmanship is great and nothing beats it.

Thanks to Piel Frama for the Review Product, I used pictures from Piel Frama's website because they were the clearest and easiest to see from all angles. They truly represent exactly what you get. If you would like to see how the case comes, look at the pictures in my X5 Piel Frama review here: CLICK HERE The packaging and boxing is the same as the X5 case's in the review.
