The Sena Extended Battery case for x50/x50v is made to fit the X50 with the
extended battery installed. This can be hard to do thanks to the design of the
X50 extended battery setup. The extended battery is only on the bottom of the
unit so the top is thinner then the bottom when the battery is installed.

To deal with this, the Sena is thicker at the bottom then the top, but the top
still has enough space to allow the X50 with the extended battery to slide in.
This seems to work well and the case still has a very good fit. Sena has always
been known for their cases that still let the unit fit in its cradle. This case
is no exception and it easily lets the X50 with the Extended Battery fit in the
cradle to sync and charge. To accomplish this the bottom of the case has much
thinner material and that can be one drawback fo this case. The bottom has much
less protection that most cases will provide for your unit. On the other hand,
it is nice not to have to take the PDA out of the case every time you want to
sync or charge it if you don?t have a sync cable.

The case has all the cutouts for all the needed buttons and ports. On the bottom
the sync port is cutout. On the left side the wifi, record, and lock buttons are
cutout. On the front there is a cutout for the dpad and side buttons, the
screen, and the top is not covered so the mic, lights, and power button are also
visible. There also is a slit for the headphone port so you can use it when the
case is closed. On the back there is a hole so you can still use the reset
button.

The case has a great fit. The back is thicker so it keeps its shape and that can
be nice as it does not curve while you are trying to hold it. The fit around the
screen is perfect. It truly fits just right with the X50v's screen. The leather
is good quality and feels good in your hand. All the stitching looks good and
the case is made very well.
To stay shut, the Sena uses two magnets to keep the cover closed. I like this as
there is no strap in the way, and it is very easy to open and close. People have
stated that magnets could do harm, but I have never had a problem with them and
my flash memory or x50. You may want to be careful when putting cards in the
cards slots though, as some have said the magnets can mess up rail passes and
other magnetic stripes.
Overall I feel that the Sena case is a very good case. The Extended Battery
version is identical to the regular version besides being thicker to fit the
battery. The fit is very good and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking
for a case for their x50 series with extended battery.
