Tiptop is a game made by astraware where you try and match different symbols on the playing map. You can use things like magnets and bombs to score extra points by getting a big combo.

From Astrware:

-Fast-paced fruit-matching action!

-Three game modes: Regular, Strategy and Speed provide for every taste in puzzle games!

-Unlimited levels in each mode!

-Nineteen bonus puzzle levels to tax your mind and increase your score!

-Groovy fifties fruit-machine style graphics!

-Online high-score table - are you the hippest hepcat in town?

-Enhanced sampled sounds for appropriate Sony and Palm OS5 devices!

-Hi-res color, low-res colour, and low-res greyscale graphics supported.

-Only one file to install to your Palm! Automatically detects the best mode your device can support!

-Choice between stylus / key control.

-Interactive tutorial to start you off.

-Built-in instructions and tips.

Tiptop is like tetris but with twists. The look of the symbols reminds you of a slot machine. When you start the game you are greeted with 3 different gameplay options. Those options are Regular, Speed, and Strategy. In regular mode you drop blocks to try and make 3 together to clear them out. In regular mode, each block you drop the computer makes a move from the bottom. In the Speed mode, you try and clear out the blocks, but the blocks will continually float upward. In the last mode, strategy, you control the blocks coming from the top and bottom of the playing map. If you move the top block to the right, it moves the bottom block left and vice versa, making you plot out what would be the best move.

Although the game has good gameplay, it lacks some of the features that I like in a game. It has no background music, which takes away from the experience. But this is an unlimited level game so background music would drive you insane after a while, so it is probably good that they didn't include that. The game is only about 435 k so even people that are really low on space should be able to have it.

Pros:

-Great Graphics

-Smooth play

-Nice sound effects

-Easy to Learn

-Multiple Game Modes

-Unlimited Leves

Cons:

-No background music (Might be a good thing, but would be nice if they included some) -Not many features like changing the look of the blocks -A little pricy for a simple game (14.95)

The game has great gameplay, but it would have been better if they included some features like background music, ablity to change look of blocks, etc. I liked the game, but I lost interest after playing for about 5 minutes. My suggestion is you download the demo (Link at the top) and play it to see if you like it before you blow $14.95 on a game you don't like.
