Boxwave PSP MiniSync Cable Many who have a Sony PSP know how hard it is to find a USB cable for their PSP if they do not already have a similar one from their Camera or other device. Many times companies charge outrageous amounts for this simple USB cable that really any PSP owner should have. They charge these outrageous amounts, and most of the time you only receive a normal plain cable that has nothing special about it except the special end for the PSP. Well, as usually, Boxwave has come up with a simple, effective, and best of all, cost effective (cheap) product to save you all these troubles. Boxwave has always been known for their MiniSync cables. They make them for all sorts of devices and their claim to fame is the fact that they use a wind up mechanism built in so that you do not have to worry about managing your cords or taking along twist ties, etc. Now they have brought this great invention to the PSP!
The PSP MiniSync is similar to all the other MiniSync products and features a winder in the middle that clicks into various lengths (up to 35inches for the PSP model). For the PSP they have also added an extra cord that comes off from the PSP USB connector and goes around to plug into the power port on the PSP. This allows the PSP to be charged from the USB port as well! This is something that cannot be achieved with the normal USB cables that you buy for your PSP. The extra charger cord also lets you use the MiniSync with the Car Charger adapter and Wall Charger adapter that Boxwave sells so you do not even need to bring your power brick along with you anymore!
Using the PSP MiniSync, it lives up to everything it advertises. It worked just as well as any other USB cord with the PSP, plus it charged my PSP from the USB port easily. I also checked it out with the Wall Charger and Car Charger and both worked well. It truly is an all in one cord for your PSP. Since the power cord comes off from the USB adapter for the PSP, it does not get wound up into the winder mechanism. This was the only con that I could come across on the PSP MiniSync, but it is a very minor one at that. Overall I think for $16.95 this is a great deal for any PSP owner. It is cheaper and does more than many of the other PSP USB cords sold at stores, plus it works great with the Wall and Car Charger's from Boxwave for the complete charging package! Pros:
